Victoria Industries Limited has been manufacturing
Recreational Vehicle products and accessories since 1967. The company
was founded in Victoria by Clyde
Cameron in 1967 it remains a private company. In the
early 1970's the company was taken over by Geoffery Cameron. Under
his supervision, the company expanded its line
of products and enjoyed continuous growth and prosperity. Geoffery
remained president and CEO of Victoria Industries Ltd. until the
spring of 2003. Since the spring of 2003 the company
has been under the direction of Diane Cameron, President and CEO
of Victoria Industries Ltd.
The company initially in 1968 operated out of a service shop
at a local RV dealer in Victoria. The company moved to its
own building in 1970 and then to its present location
in 1973, where it now operates out of 2 buildings in Esquimalt,
British Columbia, a suburb of Victoria, utilizing robotics,
automated
and specialized processing equipment.
Victoria Industries Limited started up as a camper jack manufacturer.
The mechanical camper jacks were the companies first camper jacks,
however, they were discontinued in
1986. In 1980 we brought on the HIJACKER hydraulic camper jack
and it is still a major product for the company.
Management decided in 1980 to expand its product line to camper
steps, an RV accessory that would complement the camper jack business.
Our
folding aluminum camper step is a
light weight, easy to handle product available in 2,3,4, & 5
step models.
The companies biggest product decision however, came in 1983 when
we began producing Fifth Wheel Hitches and under carriage Receivers
for pick up trucks. We offer the most complete
and flexible line of Fifth Wheel Hitches in the industry. Our hitch
products and their upgrade options to Double Pivots is a big selling
feature for our customers. Moving into
towing products was a significant change from camper jacks and
after several years of numerous design changes, the hitches would
become
our #1 product. Hijacker products are
sold all across North America through our very extensive Dealer
and Distributor network.
While we are not the biggest hitch company in North America , we
are the fastest growing and most innovative manufacturer in the
industry. We are very proud of our products and we
have many happy customers who attest to our quality and service.
