PROBLEM

Jack won't pump

Not enough hydraulic oil

Fill to bottom of oil hole with inner tube up

Not primed

Prime as per instructions

Release valve left open

Close finger tight

Release valve not seated

Close finger tight and tap the end lightly with a hammer

It still won't pump

Replace P.A.C. (pump assembly cartridge)

Release valve leaking

O-ring damaged / worn

Replace O-ring

Dirt under O-ring

Remove O-ring, clean release valve and Replace O-ring

Pump assembly cartridge (P.A.C.) leaking

Damaged "static" O-ring(s)

Replace either damaged O-ring(s) or entire P.A.C.

Dirt under O-ring(s)

Remove O-ring(s), cleanout dirt and replace

O-ring(s) or replace entire P.A.C.

Bottom leaking

Internal problem

Check packing nut. See instruction 5

Jack bent

Jack tube(s) bent

Replace part(s) or jack

Release valve tight

Bent or damaged

Replace part

Plunger leaks

O-ring(s) damaged &/or worn

Replace either plunger O-ring or P.A.C. O-ring or both

Dirt under P.A.C. O-ring

Remove O-ring, clean P.A.C. end and replace O-ring

Inner tube will not retract completely to the "up" position

Too much hydraulic oil

With jack in up position, drain oil and refill to the bottom of the fill hole

Tube(s) bent &/or damaged

Replace part(s) or jack

Inner tube will not extend all the way down

Tube(s) bent &/or damaged

Replace part(s) or jack

Jack will not pump to "red" safety line

Not enough hydraulic oil

Fill to bottom of oil hole with inner tube up

Tube(s) bent &/or damaged

Replace part(s) or jack

Jack will not hold pressure

Release valve not seating

Close finger tight and tap the end lightly with hammer

Damaged P.A.C. O-rings

Replace O-rings or P.A.C.

Linkage plunger sticks out

Reservoir back pressure

Crack release valve, open reservoir bolt, push in plunger and close both release valve and bolt

P.A.C. turns in head

Designed to turn

No problem

Jack slips through clamps

Installed incorrectly

Follow instructions and ensure nuts & bolts are tight
